Even though nobody I know in real life reads this blog (and only, like, 5 people in the whole world read it), I try to stay pretty anonymous, and never use the names of friends or family either. So here’s a quick who’s who:
Mom and Dad — Uh, no explanation needed. Will have been married 35 years in December.
Middle Brother — 5 years younger than me. Was quite a pain for most of his childhood, although I like him now. Works at a local amusement park and hooked me up with a free seasons pass.
Little Brother — 10 years younger than me. Just finished his first year of college and despite the fact that he is 19 and taller than I am, I still refer to him as my baby brother.
Best Friend T — We’ve been friends since she was the new girl in my freshman English class in high school. There was a time (like, the four years I was off at college) when we weren’t really speaking at all, but we repaired our friendship. She’s married to J, and is a mama to the Divine Miss M and Masta J.
Best Friend A — Also friends since high school. For two years after college we were roommates, which damn near ruined our friendship. She just returned to the area a year ago, after spending three years in CT, living with her boyfriend (now husband) R.
Friend B — I met B through Best Friend A when we were roommates. B is mom to 6-year-old Lil’ A and is engaged to be married to a very nice guy M (well, we think he’s a nice guy, but we haven’t gotten to spend much time with him).
Friend Al — Another person I met through Best Friend A. She and Friend Al went to college together. Friend Al (girl) is married to another A (boy), who none of us like very much.
Friend M — She and I worked together for a while and even once she left us, we stayed friends. She’s the one who’s married to M and just had Baby M.
